What I see when I look at the adobe ruin



Michael took several pictures of the inside of the Romero house, and I was stunned by what I saw in the pictures. "That's not what I see at all!" I protested. "Ahh, that explains a lot" he said.

So before I post actual photos, here's what I see. This is the Herrera house with the porch restored, a lawn and fountain.

The building is a very traditional L-shaped New Mexican adobe with a north and west facing porch. It's three rooms long in one direction by four room (counting a large bathroom), for a total of six rooms. Each room had a door onto the porch (one has been turned into a bookcase) and a door to the next room. The floor level changes from the north wing to the west wing.
